The Family of Jan Brueghel the Elder by Peter Paul Rubens

Day 28- Visit a virtual art gallery and look around until you find a piece that intrigues you. Write a poem inspired by the artwork.

The picture of perfection:

What more could one possibly need?

A husband and two children,

A normal family, indeed.

But one by one, they all dropped dead,

Because nobody can vanquish disease.

And alone with the frightening thoughts in her head,

She felt a sickening sense of unease.

I know this is extremely morbid and I’m sorry. However, this is apparently the true story behind the painting, and you can check it out here, if you like.
