Day 29

Briefly research a poetic form of your choice and write a poem according to the rules of that particular form.

I chose to write a ‘somonka’ because it sounded so absurd. The second half (tanka) was written by Jules.

It’s always hard to
be sure of anything, but
sometimes, you can fall
knowing that there’ll be someone
waiting on the other side.

And even if you hit
the hard unforgiving ground,
Reek of the failure
will fill your lungs, and you will
find your place in their bosoms.
